Making Something From Nothing: Hope Requires Warriors
Turn hope into action.
Call on your strength.
Brush yourself off.
Put your armor on.
Ignite your virtues.
Are you trying to make something from nothing? Are you determined to turn hope into action?
One starting point is building resilience. Are you offering your highest self? Since I'm frequently exhausted, often despondent, and yes, hopeless, I needed a path to get my ass in gear. Igniting one's virtues isn't something one just "does." I needed a path to the right mindset during dark times.
I stumbled upon and then borrowed from the tradition of the Old Irish Prayer, "I Bind Unto Myself Today," attributed to St. Patrick. He aimed to arm himself with love, faith, protection against evil. My very brief adaptation is called, my Intention Prayer. It's not a prayer in the religious sense, it's a prayer in the spiritual self sense.
I prepare my mindset and heart to offer my highest self, prepare for turning hope into action, with a visual routine. I have to do this since being strong or intentional, believe it or not, does not just come naturally.
Life can bring darkness. To light that darkness up may require a warrior level mindset. It's not easy. You know what I'm talking about. In those dark times, I visualize physically arming myself with my strengths and tools I need. Each item is a separate piece of armor.
My Intention Prayer: "Each day anew, I bind unto myself- Protection of my energy The power of my state of peace Warrior strength Offerings of compassion Diligent self-management Intentional generosity Offerings of gratitude Clarity of what's important The power of letting go what needs to be let go The fire of my passion The power of my open my heart - Today, I offer my highest self."
What would you arm yourself with?
Defend Your Hope.
